Call to action
Anyone looking to submit testimony for the record can email Kerry Golden [email protected]. They must submit it by (4:30p.m.) Friday, December 10, 2021. We also encourage you to send your testimony to your local house representative and state senator and request their support. Please feel free to discuss and ask questions. We will do our best to assist. Above all, please share and spread the word. We saw a lot of complaints over the last 2-years. Now is your chance to DO something. If you truly want change you must take time to do this. Thanks for your support.

We have launched a call to action campaign. We are asking our members and followers to call each House Representative on the House Agriculture & Rural Affairs committee every time fireworks are being set off in your community. Call their district and capitol phone numbers and leave a voicemail stating the date, time, requesting action being taken on house bill 988, and how fireworks affect you. Keep track, call one of each elected official's numbers each night, move to the next the next night. They log calls so calls popping up all over would probably get noticed. The idea is for them to see the volume of calls and the time the calls are coming in to push house bill 988 to the floor for a vote. For more information on house bill 988, visit our House Bill 988 page.
We have been notified that we should be focusing on the chairs of the committee to push them to bring the bill forward for a vote so we should focus on the chairs listed below and focus on the republicans because the democrat's are in support of the bill. We have removed the democrat members except the democrat chair. Let's focus on contacting the members listed on this page.
We are providing a script for you to use to help guide you when you leave a voicemail. We are also providing talking points you can use to help guide you when leaving a voicemail. Be nice. Just say that you were sitting in your living room thinking of Rep X because the Ag committee needs to repeal that nasty fireworks law and hearing them going off for 2 hours (or whatever) just brought him/her to mind.
If you live in the district, leave your contact info. If you don't live there, let the numbers speak for themselves.
Vary the message but no profanity, etc. Make the staff need to clear a bunch of fireworks messages each morning.
